Minko Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Minko (the "App" and this website), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App or this site.

2. The Service

Minko is a travel journal application that lets you log places you've visited, write reviews, save places to a wishlist, plan trips, and connect with friends.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. User-Generated Content

Minko lets users post reviews, ratings, photos, videos, comments, and profile information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant Minko a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the App as necessary to operate the Service.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you post. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, violent, sexually explicit, or that infringes another person's rights.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior

Minko has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This includes, without limitation, content or behavior that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, violent, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers anyone, especially minors.

• Reporting: every review, comment, and profile in the App can be reported directly. Reports are reviewed, and content or accounts found to violate these Terms will be removed or restricted.
• Automatic review: content that receives multiple reports is automatically hidden pending manual review.
• Blocking: you can block any other user at any time, from their profile or from any of their content. Blocking immediately and mutually hides places, reviews, and comments between you and the blocked user.
• Enforcement: Minko may remove any User Content and suspend or terminate any account, at any time and without prior notice, if it violates these Terms or applicable law.

If you encounter objectionable content or an abusive user, use the in-app Report feature, or contact us using the details below.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: impersonate another person; harass, bully, or threaten other users; post spam or unauthorized advertising; upload malicious code; scrape or misuse other users' data; or attempt to circumvent any content moderation or blocking feature.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for conduct that violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings; this permanently removes your account and associated content.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services, including Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, Google Places, and Mapbox. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.

8. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes about Minko. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with its normal operation. All trademarks, logos, and content on this site are the property of Minko unless otherwise noted.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minko is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that is not otherwise resolved will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here, and continued use of the App or website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
