Account information: email and password, or Sign in with Apple / Sign in with Google credentials; profile fields you provide such as display name, bio, phone number, and profile photo.
Content you create: reviews, ratings, notes, photos and videos attached to reviews, comments, wishlist items, and trip plans.
Contacts (optional): if you grant contacts access to find friends already on Minko, your contacts' emails/phone numbers are hashed on your device before being sent to our servers — we never upload or store your raw contact list, only the hashes, which are compared against other users' hashed identifiers.
Usage analytics: we use PostHog to understand how the App is used. We do not automatically capture every screen view or tap — only specific named actions (such as logging a review, saving a wishlist item, or deleting an account).
Location and camera: the App may request location and camera permissions for features like tagging a place's location or adding a photo. [Confirm current status before publishing — as of this writing these permissions are declared but not yet tied to an active feature; update this section once that changes.]
We use this information to operate and improve the App, show your content to friends as you choose, suggest friends you may already know, personalize your map and feed, and maintain the security of your account.
We share information with the service providers that power the App: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), PostHog (analytics), Mapbox (maps), Google Places (place search and details), and Apple/Google (sign-in). We do not sell your personal information.
You can edit or delete your profile information, your reviews, and your photos at any time in the App. You can permanently delete your account from Settings — this removes your account and cascades to your reviews, comments, photos, wishlist, trips, friendships, and any reports or blocks tied to your account. This action is irreversible.
Minko is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect information from children under that age.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed as described in Section 4.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here.
